ROD WIEMERS MEMORIAL BUCKLE

THE CELEBRATION is honored to present the ROD WIEMERS MEMORIAL BUCKLE to the horse who earns the highest single fence work score at the show. Donated by Rod Wiemers family and friends, this beautiful Skyline buckle signifies great horseman Rod was.

The 2019 champion was CD Highlights, owned by Linda S. Katz and shown by Randy Paul. Randy was good friends with Rod and remembers Rod’s generous spirit. What a great horseman taken too soon.

THE CELEBRATION & EMO WESTERN STATES CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW EXPLODES INTO VEGAS

South Point Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada | June 29 – July 9, 2017

It’s a sure bet that savvy Quarter Horse exhibitors will head to Vegas June 30-July 9 for “The Celebration’ and EMO Western States Championship. “With two AQHA circuits (including a day off to explore Las Vegas), totaling 10 total judges, all AQHA/AzQHA/PCQHA approved and run in conjunction with the EMO Western States Championship, exhibitors hunting competition and points will head to the climate controlled state-of-the-art facilities at South Point Arena in Las Vegas over the 4th of July”, shared Doug Huls, show manager.

The second annual EMO Western States Championship will again offer open, amateur, select amateur and youth championship classes for exhibitors and horses which have qualified through their state affiliate or nationally. Gold, silver and bronze trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each championship class.

The qualifying period for the EMO Western States Championship classes ends on March 31. For a complete list of championship classes and qualifying rules, go to WesternStatesChampionship.org

The AQHA division of The Celebration offers a full slate of Western, English, and cattle classes. “There is no qualifying to show in the AQHA approved show circuits at The Celebration, so everyone is welcome to show”, says Doug Huls, “which makes this a show that all the top Quarter Horse barns will find enticing for all levels of riders”. This year Level 1 (novice) amateur and Level 1 (novice) youth classes have been added to the AQHA division of The Celebration.
